Phuket, Thailand, June 18 — Banyan Tree Phuket is the latest resort member of Thailand’s popular Golf In A Kingdom collective.

The luxury all-pool-villa resort in the Laguna Phuket resort complex in north-western Phuket, is adjacent to Laguna Phuket Golf Club, which joined Golf In A Kingdom last month.

Visitors to Phuket who wish to play golf at the newly remodeled course and stay in luxury have the choice of Banyan Tree Phuket’s 173 stand-alone villas, of which 135 form the main Banyan Tree Phuket resort and are complemented by 14 spa pool villas at Banyan Tree Spa Sanctuary and 24 double pool Villas at DoublePool Villas by Banyan Tree.

Designed as a Thai village, each villa is set in a private landscaped garden and features an open-air sunken bath and teak-framed floor-to-ceiling windows. The two-bedroom pool villas have private infinity pools along the lagoon, 24-hour butler and in-villa chef services and a separate check-in lobby. Multiple dining options include fresh fish served at the lagoon-facing Sala Terrace.

Located just half an hour’s drive from Phuket International Airport on stunning Bang Tao Bay, Banyan Tree Phuket was placed second in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler 20th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards and eighth among the Top 100 Resorts of the World.

As a Golf In A Kingdom member, it joins hotels and resorts in Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Bangkok and Phuket in the popular golf tourism group, which is the largest and most successful of its kind in Asia.

Golf In A Kingdom founder and chairman, Mark Siegel, said he was delighted to welcome a new member of Banyan Tree Phuket’s unparalleled quality.

“Golf visitors to Phuket will be delighted with the world-class golf and accommodation facilities at Laguna Phuket Resort,” he said. “These two properties demonstrate golf tourism at is very best.”
